The Department of Surgery is very rich in original research by world-class leaders in surgical techniques.
The research activities in the Goodman Simulation focus on education and training to improve the trajectory of skills as well as improve communication between team members in and outside the surgical suite.
By using the capabilities of the Goodman Simulation Center, students can be assessed using part-task trainers with video capture.
Mannequin-based simulation is used to teach team training and communication to all levels of clinicians.
